Oct. 6, 2000 — "Indivisible: Stories of American Community" paints a unique portrait of America and the people who shape it at the Terra Museum of American Art, 664 N. Michigan Ave. The exhibit displays photographs and interview excerpts from 12 diverse communities. Included are works by photographer Lynn Davis and folklorist Jens Lund who introduce visitors to Alaskan fishing communities to learn about new marine conservation efforts. Other works by photographer Reagan Louis and ethnographer Barry Dornfeld take visitors to North Philadelphia where nearly 90 abandoned properties have been converted into art parks, community gardens, education facilities and low income housing. Admission is $7 for adults and $3.50 for seniors. (312) 664-3939
