Oct. 6, 2000 — "Indivisible: Stories of American Community" paints a unique portrait of
America and the people who shape it at the Terra Museum of American Art, 664 N.
Michigan Ave. The exhibit displays photographs and interview excerpts from 12 diverse
communities. Included are works by photographer Lynn Davis and folklorist Jens Lund
who introduce visitors to Alaskan fishing communities to learn about new marine
conservation efforts. Other works by photographer Reagan Louis and ethnographer Barry
Dornfeld take visitors to North Philadelphia where nearly 90 abandoned properties have
been converted into art parks, community gardens, education facilities and low income
housing. Admission is $7 for adults and $3.50 for seniors. (312) 664-3939
